As a seasoned composer specializing in dynamic and immersive hybrid orchestrations, John skillfully blends the intensity of orchestral arrangements with the innovative textures of modern progressive genres. His work enhances storytelling across film, TV, and other media, creating soundscapes that evoke deep emotions and atmospheric depth.
Having released six albums under his pseudonym Aldo, John's repertoire spans from intimate solo piano pieces to dynamic jazz trio performances. His music also features on the Acoustitherapy series CDs from Denver, CO. A seasoned composer for visual media, John has scored various documentaries and TV shows, including the nationally syndicated PBS series Painting with Paulson, and the theme for Prairie Public Television’s popular children's series, Kid's Zone. His compositions have enhanced national television shows like the Today Show, As the World Turns, Last Call with Carson Daly, and even the regional Emmy-winning PBS documentary Delafied in 2003.
Previously, John served as the music director at the Black Swan Dinner Theatre in Fargo, ND, and was a key member of Nero's House Band in Minneapolis during the 1990s. A regular performer at iconic venues such as the Mall of America and the Fine Line Music Café, his music continues to resonate across a diverse array of prestigious platforms.
